How long does my credit last for calls?
At MyDivert.com, your credit will NOT expire. However, accounts that show no activity at all for a period of longer than 6 months may be 'mothballed'. These accounts can be reactivated by simply logging in again with your user ID email address.

How to call my Free World Dialup account
Free World Dialup is a free SIP-based phone service by pulver.com

It offers free SIP accounts and software to make and receive free peer to peer calls.

You can use this service to confirm that calls from our network to a public SIP service work fine. As a result, you can identify the problem at your end and fix it.

The following will show how to make a Mydivert.com number work on your FWD ID.


Go to freeworlddialup.com and download the software. Configure it. Leave it open.
Login to your Mydivert.com account, and click on the Phone Numbers page link.
Click on the SIP / IAX option for your purchased number.
In the CUSTOM SIP address field, enter your fwdid@fwd.pulver.com
Call the DID number
Your Pulver Communicator Software should ring.

Please note that in some countries such as China, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates, SIP PORT # 5060 are blocked. As a result, FWD's Pulver Communicator can not be used for testing in countries where SIP Port # 5060 is blocked.

CID set by user device - for pbx trunks
Configuration example for Asterisk 1.6 pbx to send CID using mydivert.com sip trunk.

Enable Caller ID 'Set by user device' from your account page.

In your asterisk sip.conf file set something like this:

[general]
callerid = Anonymous

;here is our example extension that wants to send a CID

In extensions.conf the CID would be set like this (we are setting 353539431111):

exten => _X.,4,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN}@sip.mydivert.com,20,Tt)

If you are using FreePBX here are some tips:

add sendrpid=yes to the trunk's PEER Details on the FreePBX GUI

The CallerID Number format is very strict. It must follow the format "abcdefg"<123456789>. The important bits are:
(a) you must have the string section even if it is an empty string.
(b) you must have the angle brackets
(c) the number itself must contain numberals only and can contain any number of digits, but must not start with a single 0.

Do the DID numbers display Caller ID
99% of the DID numbers do carry good CALLER ID for inbound calls. i.e. they will correctly pass the CID number of the person who is calling the DID number. We can't guarantee caller ID for all countries or areas. In particular Singapore and Malaysian DID carry poor inbound CID at this time (march 2010).

CID for outbound calls is set by our server according to the settings you choose. The CID displayed on outbound calls is a completely seperate issue from inbound CID on your DID number.

Is SIP mapping updated in real time ?
Yes, all configuration changes are done in real-time. If you update the SIP mapping for a DID number the calls will be sent to the new URI immediately.

If you are using a voip phone, softphone, or receiving your call via SIP, and someone calls your number you will not be charged. Incoming SIP calls are FREE

Call charges only apply to outbound calls. This includes use of the call forwarding function, as the forwarded call generates an outbound call leg.

Are the phone numbers individual?
Yes, MyDivert.com provides unique phone numbers to each customer and the number will belong to you for as long as you want it.

If an account at MyDivert.com is closed the associated phone numbers are deleted from our system.
