Which codecs do you support?
We support the standard codecs G.711a, G.711u and G.729 for DID calls. We additionaly support GSM, G726, SLIN, and SPEEX for registered SIP clients.

How to call Gizmo with a DID number
Gizmo Project is a software and service by SipPhone.com.

It offers free SIP accounts and software to make and receive free peer to peer calls.

The following will show how to make a mydivert.com number work on your GizmoProject client.

  • Go to GizmoProject.com and download the software.

  • Login to your Mydivert.com account, and click on the Phone Numbers page link.

  • Change the SIP / IAX setting for your number to CUSTOM SIP with yourgizmoid@proxy01.sipphone.com (replace yourgizmoid).

  • Call your DID number.

  • Your Gizmo project client should ring.


    Can I purchase toll free numbers?
    We are not supplying toll free numbers at the moment.

    Call forwarding only when unavailable?
    i need forward my calls only when the sip device is down or disconected, that is possible?

    Yes, you can choose to forward all calls, or just when unavailable or busy.

    Do I Pay Per-Minute Charges?
    There are no per-minute charges for incoming SIP calls. Each DID is billed on a fixed monthly fee basis, with no extra per-minute charges. This is a flat-rate service, which means that you can talk as much as you want for a low, monthly charge.

    Outbound calls, and calls that are forwarded to external numbers, are charged according to our Call Rates plan.

    Is SIP mapping updated in real time ?
    Yes, all configuration changes are done in real-time. If you update the SIP mapping for a DID number the calls will be sent to the new URI immediately.

    Are the phone numbers individual?
    Yes, MyDivert.com provides unique phone numbers to each customer and the number will belong to you for as long as you want it.

    If an account at MyDivert.com is closed the associated phone numbers are deleted from our system.

    What is the monthly phone number charge?
    Each local phone number purchased will have a monthly subscription charge. This charge will be deducted from your account credit and you will be kept informed via email.
