Is There a Maximum Call Duration per DID?
There is no maximum limit on call duration for the DID numbers.

If you are experiencing cut, or dropped, incoming calls please open a support ticket from your account area.

Are the phone numbers individual?
Yes, provides unique phone numbers to each customer and the number will belong to you for as long as you want it.

If an account at is closed the associated phone numbers are deleted from our system.

How to call Gizmo with a DID number
Gizmo Project is a software and service by

It offers free SIP accounts and software to make and receive free peer to peer calls.

The following will show how to make a number work on your GizmoProject client.

  • Go to and download the software.

  • Login to your account, and click on the Phone Numbers page link.

  • Change the SIP / IAX setting for your number to CUSTOM SIP with (replace yourgizmoid).

  • Call your DID number.

  • Your Gizmo project client should ring.

    Can I peer my DID number to an IAX address
    Yes. We can send calls using SIP or IAX protocol.

    Do I Pay Per-Minute Charges?
    There are no per-minute charges for incoming SIP calls. Each DID is billed on a fixed monthly fee basis, with no extra per-minute charges. This is a flat-rate service, which means that you can talk as much as you want for a low, monthly charge.

    Outbound calls, and calls that are forwarded to external numbers, are charged according to our Call Rates plan.

    add sendrpid=yes to the trunk's PEER Details on the FreePBX GUI

    The CallerID Number format is very strict. It must follow the format "abcdefg"<123456789>. The important bits are:
    (a) you must have the string section even if it is an empty string.
    (b) you must have the angle brackets
    (c) the number itself must contain numberals only and can contain any number of digits, but must not start with a single 0.
