What is a Virtual Phone Number?
A Virtual Phone Number is a telephone number that forwards incoming calls to a pre-set telephone number chosen by the client.

For example, a company located in China can have a phone number in Los Angeles. Virtual Phone Numbers are very popular among Call Centers, which are physically located in one country, when in fact they really work in another. International virtual phone numbers are also popular with people currently residing in a foreign country, giving their family members and friends a virtual phone number so that they can contact them at a local call price rate.

Frequently, the subscriber can easily set the Virtual Phone Number to forward calls to different telephone numbers (both landlines and mobile phones) depending on his or her preference. For example, on work days incoming calls can be set to be forwarded to one's workplace, but on weekends to one's mobile phone.

Can I use my account when I'm in a foreign country?
Yes, you can login to your mydivert.com account from anywhere with internet access. You can use MyDivert.com with a local number from any country we offer. You can find the available countries on the phone numbers page. You can forward calls to any number, or SIP URI, worldwide.

Do you have an API available?
Yes, we have an easy-to-use DID API (Application Programming Interface) that is available to our users at no charge. This API may be integrated into your website or application so as to facilitate the purchasing, configuration and maintenance of DIDs by your own customers. Please contact support for further information.

Do DID numbers Support Callback?
We do not guarantee that our DID numbers can be used with call back services (i.e. when you call the number, let it ring and hang up, the system calls you back and you get dial-tone).

Is SIP mapping updated in real time ?
Yes, all configuration changes are done in real-time. If you update the SIP mapping for a DID number the calls will be sent to the new URI immediately.

Do I Pay Per-Minute Charges?
There are no per-minute charges for incoming SIP calls. Each DID is billed on a fixed monthly fee basis, with no extra per-minute charges. This is a flat-rate service, which means that you can talk as much as you want for a low, monthly charge.

Outbound calls, and calls that are forwarded to external numbers, are charged according to our Call Rates plan.

What is the monthly phone number charge?
Each local phone number purchased will have a monthly subscription charge. This charge will be deducted from your account credit and you will be kept informed via email.

Yes sure, that is one of the great advantages of MyDivert.com.
